10 months gone

10 months has gone by quickly...and brought with it one busy boy!! Danen took his first steps in the end of his 10th month-I cannot believe it! He is a busy boy on the move all day long! He is up from sun up to sun down and on the go. We have been trying to go on walks every day that it is nice out-he love love loves being outside and cries when we have to go in. Some of his likes and dislikes at this age are:

Loves Klaire...and most other kiddos but will only snuggle up to Klaire
Loves his mom and dad and cries when he sees either leave, but gets distracted easily :0)
Still hates being strapped into anything or being kept out of or in a room alone-does great strapped in if      he is outside
Loves having something in his mouth all day long while he moves around-usually it is the farmer or chicken from his little people farm
Love love loves eating and gets super excited anytime he knows food is coming
LOVES being outside-period
Loves when dad comes home and instantly crawls to him whining to be held
Hates having his diaper changed
Loves sleeping on his belly at night-which I hate because then his diaper leaks
Loves walking around-weather it is with a finger, furniture, or walls-he prefers it to crawling if he has an option
Loves to play with all things that are not conventional toys
Does not like me to be working at the computer...I either have to be down playing or he wants stuff off the desk
Loves to be anywhere where mom or dad are
Loves to be in pictures of other kids, but does not like his own-silly kid
Hates having to wait for anything-he has very little patience
Loves the bath
Love love loves books and could read or play with them all day long
Loves balls-that is usually how I get smiles at his photo shoots
Does not like getting dressed
Loves big people food and tolerates baby food
Loves climbing
Loves to point at things-especially pictures and outside
Loves the garbage's and toilet paper rolls
Still does not like being swaddled-but it helps his naps

He is still a bit small, but he packs a lot of punch in that little body. Recently a friend had her kiddos over and her little boy is twice his, but it didn't stop him from tackling him and trying to wrestle him. He  is both a little lover and a rambunctious boy. He still doesn't really love to cuddle...but he shows affection in his own little boy way.  We love our super busy little monster. He keeps us busy and on our toes. He keeps like exciting and we love watching him learn and grow everyday. I cannot believe we are only 1 month away from his first birthday-which we are already planning. This last year has gone by so quickly and has brought us so much joy. I wouldn't trade a minute of it!

On another note we are looking into building again-this time in town on one level. The builders are asking more than our last builder-but the quality will be better. We are keeping the project around the same price, but getting less square footage.  It will work for us though, and we have really thought out the floor plan to make the most of the space. We will hopefully find out this week if it is a go...and the best part is that it has a studio space for me!! I shot 5 times this last weekend and look forward to the opportunities having my own studio can bring!! Eric is excited to get a garage for his boat. The lot we are looking at is right next to a park in town, and also by the bike path. It will be a great spot for kiddos to play and less maintenance than having a large property. Wish us luck!!

Tomorrow my lil mister turns 10 months-only 2 months away from the big first year and I cannot believe it!! It was a big month for the bitty guy again! He learned to crawl, pull-up on everything, got his 2 top teeth, had his first Easter and St. Patricks day, and got his first ear infection (that was a bad one-we are still trying to get over it!) He also had his longest car ride to date-and did not do so well :0/. He is in his new upright car seat and does seem to like it a little better since he can sit up and see more. He is still kinda a lil dude at only around 18 lbs...every time he gets sick he loses weight. He got spoiled on Easter from all the amazing Grandma's in his life, and he got a life jacket so he can go in the boat with Eric and I this summer! He met the Easter bunny and did the community hunt with a lot of help from Grandma and mom yesterday. You'll notice 2 Easter outfits-compliments of the side effects of antibiotics...poor baby has felt horrible. He had his first trip to Montana to visit TJ's family-he did not travel too well in the car either way. He is getting quite the personality-he knows what he wants and is pretty feisty. He is super social with kids, but still likes mom to be around with adults. With all those teeth coming in (4 total now) we tried some teething biscuits which he loves. He is getting to be such a big boy-so busy and active. He loves to do everything on his own and doesn't like any redirection or restrictive situations. He is determined, energetic, and is such a snuggler when he is sick. We sure love our lil man!!

8 Months & Growing

Lil D has had a busy 8th month...first Valentines day, first smoothie, trying to crawl (not really accomplishing it but he does move around on his bum), first hospital visit (RSV and Pneumonia~chest x-ray and some tests), 2 nights on only sleeping if he was held (now back in his crib and putting himself to sleep again), 2 teeth, 1st mess (tore apart tissues while mom was in the bathroom) , playing with Paige-Cameron-and both Grandma's, new toys, pulling himself up (on everything!), sat up on his own, standing well, balances on basketball (big and small) on his own well, walking in walker, walking with help, and eating again after being sick (on more formula now). Danen loves to throw, rolls in his sleep, loves to play catch with his basketball, needs two naps, sleeps only until 7:30 at the latest regardless on when he goes to bed, hates having his clothes changed, rolls for diaper changes, only wants to stand, loves his mobile, loves pulling strings and tearing tissues, loves his basketball and football, and is a chewing maniac. He doesn't love baby food-but will eat anything I give him-especially if it is off my plate, doesn't like crawling, doesn't like peas, and doesn't like sitting on the floor if someone is next to him-he has to stand. He loves books he can hold and feel-which he tries to do with all books. He no longer nurses, and we no longer swaddle him at night (usually he does well...unless he rolls over and forgets that he can roll back, lol). He is becoming our very busy little boy and we sure love him! One more week and I will have a 9 month old-I can't believe it, he is too close to being 1 already! This week it hit me that I don't have a baby anymore...he is quickly becoming a little boy....one who wants to be independent. Thank goodness we still have a while longer where he wants and needs us :0)...I feel like he has already grown to fast and that I can't remember his infant stages as much as I want to. I treasure his photos so I can look back and remember....love him so :0)
